An unmissable opportunity to participate in the motorcycling event of the year to enter the Moto Guzzi and Vespa world.

Milan, 2 August 2012– Moto Guzzi and Vespa, two of the Piaggio Group brands, symbols of Italian style, technology and tradition all over the world, will be participating in the next edition of European Bike Week, the most important motorcycle rally on a European level, which will be held at the end of the summer in Faaker See, in the heart of Carinthia in the Austrian Alps.

From 1 to 9 September more than 70,000 participants are expected to attend the Austrian rally on their bikes, enthusiasts and admirers, from all over the world; Such an exclusive and important context would be incomplete without the roar of the twin cylinders from Mandello del Lario and the unique style of the Vespa's sinuous metallic lines. The two prestigious Italian brands – among the most famous two-wheel brands worldwide – will be guests in the Clearwood Corner space, the new area dedicated to the brands which have written the history of two-wheelers. In the area, Moto Guzzi and Vespa, thanks in part to the cooperation of Faber GmbH, Austrian Piaggio Group importer, will have large spaces where the respective 2012 models will be on display, in addition to specific stands where visitors will be able to ask for information and purchase refined merchandising products. There will also be restaurants with typical Austrian cuisine and an area for relaxation. The rhythm of live music will accompany the sweet sounds created by the unmistakeable pulsations of the transversal V-twin engines, making this a week of motorcycling passion to the nth power.

The best way to come into contact with the legend is to climb astride one of the Moto Guzzi and Vespa models: in fact, for the occasion there will be a test ride point, where enthusiasts will be able to book a test ride on the new Italian models. Moto Guzzi will provide the major models in the 2012 range, including the new V7, the Stelvio NTX and the Griso 1200, while visitors will be able to taste the thrill that a brand like Vespa offers, appreciating an example of the new 3V engine installed on the LX and S 125/150 – an ultra modern unit with extraordinary performance in terms of fuel economy and reduced harmful emissions – or the performance of the single cylinder 300 cc which powers the GTS 300 Super.
